Violet Ehiem, O.D.

Dr. Violet Ehiem-Negrón was born and raised in the North Dallas area. She graduated from the University of Houston with an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. Her desire to help others led her to become an optometrist by attending the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry (UIWRSO). While completing her doctorate of optometry, she experienced clinical rotations at the San Antonio Veterans Affairs Medical Center (SAVAMC) and a private MD/OD practice.

She enjoyed her rotation at the SAVAMC so much– that she completed a residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease through the New Jersey Veteran's Affairs Medical Center. During her residency, she diagnosed and managed various ocular conditions, including corneal, glaucoma, cataracts, and retinal diseases. While at work, she enjoys getting to know her patients, discussing eye health, and addressing patients' visual demands.

When she is away from the office, Dr. Ehiem-Negrón enjoys staying active by working out, volunteering, watching movies, traveling, exploring the city, and being with her wonderful husband, son, family, and friends.
